MR & MRS S'S CONVERSION
RIB BED
In this conversion we used a RIB 129cm bed, in VW T6 Simora upholstery, with 3 seats to allow Mr S to carry more passengers. The wider bed also provided extra sleeping space. This bed was fitted with a certified fitting kit for the RIB beds.
RIB beds are very reputable beds in the VW camper scene, made in France to a very good standard.
THE UNITS
These lovely spacious units in Driftwood with Puntinella top really gave the conversion that 'beach' look. With 4 drawers overall and plenty of storage space opting for the wider bed didn't take away too much storage space.
As well as the standard font to back units, Mr S opted for an overhead led shelf to light up the cooking area and a rear over bed locker.
GAS + WATER
Mr S's conversion was built with practicality in mind. We installed a rear shower point for hosing down bikes, wetsuits, etc at the end of a fun day. The shower is supplied by an underslung water tank, allowing for smooth running of the shower for a longer period of time. We also installed a refillable gas system from Gaslow - a leading manufacturer in gas systems for camper vans. This system allows Mr S to fill his gas cannister up at a local fuelling station and then head off for some well needed time away.
POP TOP
This conversion began with a Hilo sport pop top. Mr S chose to add a scenic canvas and colour coded roof to his build, along with polished hinges! When then also added roof bars and cross bars to Mr S's van to allow him to carry surf boards, kayaking gear, etc on his Hilo sport roof.

The Hilo sport provided the required space for his children to sleep in during nights and weeks away in the campervan. The Hilo has more space in the roof area than any other roof.
